After Mayor Bloomberg’s proposed soda ban, many beverage companies found themselves in a bit of a pickle. So Coca-Cola convened a summit of some of the brightest minds and agencies in the world to develop a way forward for their brand without being tone deaf to the obesity epidemic. The Variable was called to this summit. Our strategic and creative work helped Coca-Cola identify a messaging platform centered around people finding balance in their lives. Out of the dozens of concepts presented and still under consideration, “Earn It” is one that’s beginning to roll out online and offline.
