A private equity partner and his wife had an idea about building a nationwide network of concierge doctors. Their hypothesis was that concierge medicine would be more valuable if there was a nationwide network of physicians, so a patient could get the same level of access when they traveled.
I was tasked with creating the brand name, which needed to speak to both concierge doctors and healthcare consumers; it needed to feel high-end and tech-forward; and it needed to communicate the idea of travelers having access to MDs when they roam. Hence, ROAMD.
